Getting the Right Digital SLR Camera

STEP 1 - I'm often asked what camera i would recommend.I always shrink a little. There are a lot of good cameras and even though it's great fun to try them out, analyze and research them, you'd be fine choosing almost any brands of digital SLRs cameras. All the major camera makers like Canon,Nikon,Olympus etc make high quality equipment. The brand is not important because after all,the camera just does what is told but the photographer actually makes the picture but of course it depends what kind of camera, features or specifications and types of pictures or images you want to take.Getting the right digital SLRs cameras you need to find the features or specification that suits you so you can concentrate on improving you photography.Developing your skills is what will make you a better photographer not your equipment because using photo equipment that is not suited to you will eventually make your photography into a complicated mess instead of the elegant form of self-expression.

What Type of Photograph/Image You Like to Take?

Figure out this question as finding your photographic sign.Once you know your sign,it will be easier for you to find a digital SLR you're compatible with.I'm going to list few example variety of photography styles.See if any one of you're interested in.

Before you go any further, choose your photographic style. It's OK to choose 2 to 3 styles as long as you remember which one they are.Jot them down so you won't forget them. When you started comparing digital SLR cameras,it's easy to lose track of why you needed the camera at the first place. When you focus on the features,it will help you take the photos you love and it reduces the number of features you have evaluate.By this,it helps you choose and getting the right digital SLR camera for you.

What Is a Digital SLR?

STEP 2 - Understand the Characteristic

I'm not surprised if you've been wondering and asking "what is a digital SLR"?Beginners like you are much more familiar with compact digital camera or other word compact digicam since these models have flooded the marketplace worldwide. For examples like handphones,it's hard walking down the street nowadays without seeing someone snapping a photo. As for digital SLR cameras are far less common because during those days (up until 2005) SLRs were really only used by professionals back then. But now, good news was that the price of digital SLRs keep falling and many competitive now with the high-end compact cameras in terms of features/specifications.This also means that many consumer (beginners) are hearing about these cameras and aren't quite sure what they can do.So lets find out what is digital SLR?

As you know I've already explain what is SLR (Single Lens Reflex) and its definition means in my first introduction page. You can take photos of everything from sleeping baby to Formula 1 racing cars and you'll never be limited by your camera. Conclusion digital SLR cameras are capable.

SLRs Anatomy

1. Light passes through the lens and strikes
a mirror (flip-up pink mirror) .

2. The mirror then reflects the light up
to a focusing screen.

3. Light then passes through the focusing
screen and enters a piece of glass called
pentaprism (blue on the top right).

4.The pentaprism then reflects the image so
that you can see it through the viewfinder.

5. When you take photo the mirror flips up
and a shutter (light yellow on the right)
opens that exposes the digital sensor
(next to shutter) to light.

This perfect example of what-you-see-is-what-you-get.Using the viewfinder you can precisely compose your image and adjust the focus. In additional to the pentaprism viewfinder, one of the key features of any digit SLR camera is ability to change lenses. Most people think that the camera alone is responsible for capturing an image but this isn't the case. The lens that is attached to it plat a huge role in the color, contrast and clarity of every single photo that you take.Owners of digital SLR cameras has variety of choice to buy lenses according to their photography matching style.Click on below to find out:
